About Me

My name is Noah. By day, I’m an aerospace engineer. In the evenings and on the weekends you’ll find me doing various hobbies and projects: photography, homelabbing, and working on this app.

I’ve always loved trains. I started taking Caltrain to commute daily in middle school and continued through high school. During college, I did two internships working as a field engineering intern for a subcontractor on the Caltrain electrification project. After graduating from college, I moved back to the Bay Area and once again take the train daily to commute.

Back in high school, I used a nifty app called CaltrainMe to help me navigate my commute, but it had many issues, with my primary gripe being that a schedule change required a manual update to the app, and because the app stopped being maintained, the app no longer works. The app I needed to help me commute smoothly didn’t exist, so I decided to build it myself.

This app is a project born of passion (and frustration). I tried to make it as cheap as I reasonably could without making it a subscription or losing too much money on my ongoing costs.
